I wanted to give all the Manistee Lake Association members an update on the status of our annual Memorial Day association meeting currently scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2020. The CETA Hall is not available to us that day. Your MLA officers have been in touch with the Township about using the pavilion at Sands Park or one of the two township halls. Due to the current Corona virus restrictions, the Townships are not renting out the Pavilion nor allowing use of the town halls for anything other than their own official business.
Hence, since we have no place for the meeting to be held at this time, we don't know if there will be a meeting or not. MLA officers will continue to monitor the situation and make a decision as to whether or not to hold a meeting (and if so where) as we get closer to mid-May when we should have a better picture of the status of things. So more updates to come.
