Manistee Lake Association Agenda

I.            Call to Order- MLA President Gary Salisbury

Stating the 3 Primary goals of the association:

  1. Promote the education of the riparian property owners and other lake users about water quality and water supply.
  2. Support issues which concern welfare of the lake in general, including the conservation of the water supply in the lake and watershed, and maintaining the quality of water safety for swimming and conducive to fish resources.
  3. Support the measurement and evaluation of hydrological data of the lake so that decisions and actions shall be for what is best for the lake.

 

II.            Roll Call of Board Members-

Three-year terms expire July 3 for current officers and at-large board members so those interested in continuing to serve and/or those interested in being nominees should notify Gary by June 15 so a slate of nominees can be posted along with the July 3 meeting agenda.  Bill Brandell is resigning from two positions that will need to be replaced:  Membership chair is a voluntary position but the representative to the Manistee Lake Improvement Board is nominated by MLA then interviewed and selected by the MLIB.  (see job descriptions)

 

Signs are available regarding Speed Limits and No Fertilizer.  Remember that donations are appreciated at the Sands Park boat ramp for when you launch your boats.
